Description
Designed for the demanding conditions of racing, the Vertex Cast Race Piston Kit is a premium upgrade for your 85cc 2-stroke engine. Each piston is meticulously developed with advanced Vertex technology, featuring a race shape profile optimized for superior combustion and power delivery. Crafted from a gravity cast aluminum alloy with an impressive 18% silicone content, this piston achieves an exceptional balance of being extremely light yet remarkably strong. This robust construction is further enhanced by a T-5 hardening and tempering cycle, ensuring outstanding durability and resistance to wear under extreme operating temperatures. To promote faster break-in times and significantly extend piston life, the skirts are coated with a high-tech Molybdenum Disulphite (Moly) coating, reducing friction and wear. This comprehensive kit includes everything needed for a complete piston replacement: the piston itself (standard size C, 46.96 mm diameter, suitable for a 47.00 mm bore), high-quality nitride-coated steel rings, a wrist pin, and circlips, providing a reliable and long-lasting solution for your engine rebuild.
