Description

The S&S Cycle Cam Chest Kit provides a significant upgrade over stock components. The oil pump and cam plate are precision-machined from billet aluminum and feature a durable blue anodized finish. The design includes independent scavenge sections for both the flywheel cavity and cam chest, along with debris screens in both scavenge pickups to protect the oil pump. Increased oil flow capacity on both the feed and scavenge sides ensures optimal lubrication, while the adjustable pressure relief valve allows for fine-tuning while installed. This kit promotes improved cam timing accuracy by eliminating the stock cam chain tensioner and improving tappet stability, especially in high-lift and high-RPM applications. All components are designed to work together, delivering improved reliability and performance. Installation is simplified with the inclusion of all necessary gaskets, bearings, and hardware.
