The S&S Cycle Gear Drive Cam Chest Kit is a complete solution designed to significantly improve your M8 engine. At its heart is the S&S 475G grind cam, meticulously engineered to optimize intake and exhaust valve events for enhanced performance across the RPM range. The kit includes an oil pump and cam plate, both precision-machined from high-strength billet aluminum and finished with a striking blue anodized coating for durability and aesthetics. These components boast increased oil flow capacity on both the feed and scavenge sides, complemented by independent scavenge sections for the flywheel cavity and cam chest, along with debris screens in both scavenge pickups to maintain oil cleanliness. An adjustable pressure relief valve allows for fine-tuning of oil pressure even after installation. Further enhancing the valvetrain, the kit comes with S&S Quickee Pushrods and premium tappets, along with stronger, hard-anodized black billet aluminum tappet cuffs that prevent distortion and improve tappet stability in high-lift and high-RPM scenarios. This kit is compatible with M8 models, including those equipped with VVT, and includes outer drive gears for a complete installation.
