Engineered for discerning motorcycle enthusiasts, the S&S Cycle M8 cam chest kit transforms your M8 engine's heart. Both the oil pump and cam plate are precision-machined from durable billet aluminum, finished with a distinctive blue anodized coating that not only looks exceptional but also contributes to superior heat dissipation and longevity. This kit features an advanced oiling system with independent scavenge sections for both the flywheel cavity and cam chest, significantly increasing oil flow capacity on both feed and scavenge sides. Debris screens in both scavenge pickups ensure clean oil circulation, protecting critical engine components.
Valvetrain stability is paramount, and this performance cam chest upgrade includes S&S premium tappets alongside robust billet aluminum tappet cuffs. These cuffs boast a hard-anodized black coating and are engineered to be stronger than stock, effectively eliminating distortion and improving tappet stability, especially crucial in high-lift situations. The adjustable pressure relief valve allows for fine-tuning even after installation, offering convenient customization.
