Description

The S&S 585G gear drive camshaft kit is engineered for 88/96/103/110 cubic-inch engines with compression ratios between 10.0:1 and 10.5:1. By reversing the rear cam's rotation, the kit increases clearance between cam lobes, allowing for more aggressive cam profiles. This gear drive system eliminates chain lash, significantly boosting valve timing accuracy for improved engine performance. • A hydraulic press and other professional-level tools are required for installation.
• S&S recommends using adjustable pushrods/covers.
• Cam bearings and gaskets must be replaced when installing new cams.
• Installer must check coil bind, valve-to-valve clearance, and valve-to-piston clearance.
• Due to the inherent characteristics of gear drives, increased valve train noise may occur.
