The S&S Cycle 585 Easy Start Camshaft Kit is engineered for optimal performance in a range of engine sizes. Designed for 88"-106" CID engines with compression ratios from 9.7:1 to 10.5:1, and 106"-124" CID engines with compression ratios from 9.0:1 to 10.0:1. This camshaft kit provides massive horsepower and torque increases, starting at 3000 rpm and holding steady to redline. Specifically, it operates between 3500 rpm - 6000 rpm for 88"-103" engines and 2200 rpm - 5000 rpm for larger engines. The easy start feature reduces crank compression during start-up. Once the engine reaches optimal RPM, the compression release lobe centrifugally retracts, restoring full compression for peak performance without any compromise. This bolt-in kit ensures straightforward installation and enhanced engine dynamics.

This kit includes camshafts, gear cover gasket, bearings, retaining ring, o-ring, thread lock, and instructions. Installer must check coil bind, valve-to-valve clearance, and valve-to-piston clearance. This kit is not compatible with models equipped with OEM compression releases.
