At its core are durable forged pistons, ensuring long-lasting reliability under extreme conditions. Proudly Made in the USA, the S&S Cycle 124" Big Bore Engine Kit includes a robust billet aluminum oil pump/cam plate, Quickee pushrods, precision hand-assembled tappets, billet aluminum tappet cuffs, an S&S 550 camshaft, and high-performance valve springs.
The included oil pump/cam plate is precision-machined from billet aluminum, featuring independent scavenge sections for superior oil control and a remarkable 44% flow increase on the supply side and 58% increase on the scavenge side. Debris screens and a camchest magnet protect your engine, while the adjustable pressure relief valve allows fine-tuning even after installation. The Quickee pushrods ensure efficient valve train operation, complemented by tappets assembled to exacting tolerances for reduced valve train noise and low leak-down rates. Billet aluminum tappet cuffs with a hard anodized black coating provide enhanced tappet stability for high-lift and high-RPM situations. The S&S 550 camshaft is specifically designed for big bore applications, working in harmony with high-performance conical single wire valve springs that accommodate camshafts up to 0.605" lift, ensuring optimal valve control and power delivery.
