The Progressive Suspension 944 Series shocks are engineered for optimal performance on touring models. The unique Ultra Touring spring configuration provides a lowered stance without sacrificing ride quality. The Frequency Sensing Technology (FST) ensures that the shocks respond instantly to changes in the road surface, providing a comfortable and controlled ride. Adjust spring preload by hand, eliminating the need for special tools. These shocks are available in standard, heavy-duty, and super heavy-duty configurations to accommodate different rider and luggage weights. The progressive rate mainsprings are specifically designed for touring models, offering a smooth and predictable ride. Super heavy-duty applications are recommended for bikes operating above the manufacturer’s maximum load rating over 50% of the time. Before purchasing or attempting to install shocks that are different than the OEM length, confirm that your wheel travel can be altered without causing clearance issues, such as swingarm/axle to exhaust contact as well as chain/belt guard or tire contact.
