The Progressive Suspension 412 Series shocks are engineered to automatically adjust to varying riding conditions using multi-stage, velocity-sensitive valving. The progressively wound steel spring enhances handling and absorbs bumps effectively. A five-position cam-style preload adjuster allows for fine-tuning the ride to suit your individual preferences and load. Heavy Duty (HD) versions are available and recommended for bikes consistently operated at or near their maximum load capacity. Before purchasing or installing shocks with a length different from the OEM length, verify that the wheel travel can be altered without causing clearance issues, such as swingarm/axle to exhaust contact or chain/belt guard or tire contact. Heavy Duty (HD) applications are recommended for bikes operated at or near maximum load rating over 50% of the time.
