Description
The Hot Rods Connecting Rod Kit is engineered for superior strength and longevity. Manufactured from certified 8620 AISI steel, these connecting rods provide exceptional durability. The crankpins are crafted from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 steel and case hardened to 58-62Rc, ensuring a robust and wear-resistant surface. Featuring the latest caged needle roller bearing designs, this kit is optimized for high RPM operation. The uniquely designed big end incorporates strategically placed side scalloping and vent slots to minimize bearing race distortion, maintaining optimal performance under extreme conditions. Small ends are double drilled to enhance lubrication and cooling to the wrist pin bearing, especially crucial when the piston crown is close to the wrist pin. Each rod is shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers and smoothly blend the rod forging's radiuses, while double honing creates an ultra-round bearing surface for unmatched reliability at high RPM. Compatible with both Hot Rods and OE crankshafts, this kit provides a seamless upgrade solution.
