Description
The Hot Rods Connecting Rod Kit is engineered for superior strength and durability. Constructed from certified 8620 AISI steel, this connecting rod offers exceptional resistance to stress and wear. The crankpin is manufactured from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 steel and case hardened to 58-62Rc, providing a robust and reliable connection. Featuring the latest in caged needle roller bearing designs, this kit ensures high rpm longevity. The uniquely designed big end incorporates strategically located side scalloping and vent slots to minimize bearing race distortion at high rpm. Small ends are double drilled to provide extra lubrication and cooling to the wrist pin bearing, which is particularly beneficial when the piston crown is close to the wrist pin bearing. Each rod is shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers and smoothly blend together the rod forging's radiuses. Double honing produces an ultra-round bearing surface for enhanced reliability at high rpm. Compatible with both Hot Rods and OE crankshafts, this connecting rod kit is a perfect upgrade for your engine.
