Description
The Hot Rods Connecting Rod Kit utilizes certified 8620 AISI steel, ensuring exceptional strength and durability. The crankpins are manufactured from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 steel and case hardened to 58-62Rc. Featuring the latest caged needle roller bearing designs, this connecting rod kit is engineered for high RPM longevity. The uniquely designed big end incorporates strategically located side scalloping and vent slots to minimize bearing race distortion at high RPM. Small ends are double-drilled, enhancing lubrication and cooling to the wrist pin bearing, particularly vital when the piston crown is close to the wrist pin bearing. Each rod is shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers and smoothly blend the forging's radiuses. Double honing creates an ultra-round bearing surface, guaranteeing reliability even at elevated RPM. Compatible with both Hot Rods and OE crankshafts, this kit delivers the quality and performance you demand.
