Description
The Hot Rods Connecting Rod Kit is engineered for high-performance applications, offering enhanced strength and reliability. Constructed from certified 8620 AISI steel, these connecting rods provide exceptional durability. The crankpins are manufactured from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 steel and case hardened to 58-62Rc, ensuring robust performance under extreme conditions. Featuring the latest caged needle roller bearing designs, this kit excels at high RPMs, reducing wear and extending engine life. The uniquely designed big end utilizes strategically located side scalloping and vent slots to minimize bearing race distortion at high RPM. Small ends are double drilled to provide additional lubrication and cooling to the wrist pin bearing, crucial for engines with piston crowns close to the wrist pin bearing. Each rod is shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers and smoothly blend the forging's radiuses. Double honing creates an ultra-round bearing surface, promoting reliability at high RPM. Compatible with both Hot Rods and OE crankshafts, this kit offers a seamless upgrade to your engine.
