The Hot Rods Connecting Rod Kit is engineered for exceptional strength and durability. Constructed from certified 8620 AISI steel, the connecting rod offers superior resistance to stress and fatigue. The crankpins are manufactured from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 steel and case hardened to a level of 58-62Rc, providing exceptional wear resistance. Featuring the latest in caged needle roller bearing designs, this connecting rod kit ensures high rpm longevity and minimizes bearing race distortion with its uniquely designed big end, incorporating strategically located side scalloping and vent slots. Small ends are double drilled to provide extra lubrication and cooling to the wrist pin bearing, crucial when the piston crown is close to the wrist pin bearing. Shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers and double honing produces an ultra-round bearing surface, guaranteeing reliability at high RPM. Compatible with both Hot Rods and OE crankshafts, this kit offers seamless integration and enhanced performance.
