Description
The Hot Rods Connecting Rod Kit is crafted from certified 8620 AISI steel, providing exceptional strength and durability. The crankpins are manufactured from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 and case hardened to 58-62Rc, ensuring robust performance and extended lifespan. Featuring the latest caged needle roller bearing designs, this kit is built for high RPM longevity. The uniquely designed big end incorporates strategically located side scalloping and vent slots to minimize bearing race distortion at high RPM. Small ends are double drilled to enhance lubrication and cooling to the wrist pin bearing, critical when the piston crown is close to the wrist pin bearing. Each rod is shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers and double honed to produce an ultra-round bearing surface for maximum reliability. Compatible with both Hot Rods and OE crankshafts, this kit is proudly made in the USA, guaranteeing quality and performance.
