Description
The Alpinestars SM3 Radium Helmet is built upon an innovative thermo-injected shell construction, utilizing a polymer blend with varied degrees of thickness. This advanced engineering provides an optimal combination of impact protection while maintaining a remarkably lightweight profile. Inside, a composite fiber layer is strategically placed between the outer shell and the EPS liner, offering maximum defense against impacts. For comprehensive safety, the helmet features a sophisticated 6-piece, multi-density EPS liner with five distinct densities, ensuring precise impact absorption in critical areas and effectively managing volume and impact performance. Furthermore, a polished inner EPS liner with a special low-friction coating works to reduce rotational acceleration forces from oblique impacts, significantly enhancing rider protection.
Comfort and functionality are paramount in the Alpinestars SM3 Radium Helmet. Its design includes maximized ventilation, boasting ten strategically placed inlets and seven exhaust ports for high levels of heat transfer and exchange, keeping you cool under pressure. The visor is ingeniously designed to direct airflow into these ports, optimizing ventilation. A secure, tailored fit is achievable thanks to adjustable crown and cheek pads, while hydration tube channels integrated into the cheek pads offer convenient hydration access during long rides. Safety is further reinforced by a visor release system that detaches the visor with a pre-determined force, minimizing neck strain during an impact, and a 25mm soft textile chin strap with durable stainless steel D-rings for a tight, secure fit.
