Description

The S&S Cycle Cam Chest Kit is designed for enthusiasts and professionals seeking to maximize the potential of their M8 engine. The oil pump and cam plate are precision-machined from billet aluminum and feature a distinctive blue anodized finish. Passage plugs are removable for easy servicing, and independent scavenge sections efficiently manage oil in both the flywheel cavity and cam chest. Debris screens are integrated into both scavenge pickups to protect the oil pump from contamination. The system boasts increased oil flow capacity on both the feed and scavenge sides, while an adjustable pressure relief valve allows for fine-tuning. A magnet within the cam chest further prevents debris from entering the oil pump, ensuring clean oil delivery. The kit also includes S&S Quickee pushrods with finished pushrod tubes, S&S premium tappets, and billet aluminum tappet cuffs with a hard-anodized black coating for added strength and reduced distortion. These features contribute to improved tappet stability at high-lift and high-rpm, enhanced cam timing accuracy, and the elimination of the stock cam chain tensioner. All necessary outer drive gears, gaskets, bearings, and hardware for a complete installation are included.
