Description

The Feuling Parts Race Series® Short-Travel Hydraulic Lifters feature a revolutionary design with only 0.115" of total travel, compared to the 0.200" found in full-travel lifters. This reduction in travel significantly increases RPM by minimizing valve float and valve-train harmonics, all while maintaining a quiet engine. The reduced travel also decreases the amount of oil needed to fill the lifter, preventing oil aeration inside the lifter, especially with steep, high-lift camshaft lobes. When aeration occurs, the pushrod seat can drop, leading to noisy and poor performance. These short-travel lifters should be set with 0.065" - 0.070" of pre-load. Machined from a durable steel body, these lifters are built to handle large lift camshafts and higher valve spring pressures with a slower bleed-down rate. They are compatible with Feuling® HP+® or Race Series® oil pumps and ensure proper oil flow to the top end, maximizing valve lift.

Important to know

Feuling® recommends pumping up each lifter by hand prior to installation to remove all air and provide a fully pumped-up lifter. A thin oil like ATF works well for this. Feuling® recommends Race Series® lifters for engines running higher than 185 lb (84 kg) valve spring seat pressure. Feuling® also recommends the use of a high-volume oil pump for optimal lifter performance and quieter operation.
